Are there really happy chemicals in our brain?

Dopamine

Otherwise known as the reward hormone is released when the brain experiences a sense of achievement or recognition.

Serotonin

Serotonin levels rise when people feel valued, a sense of respect and purpose. At safe levels they help teams and relationships.

Oxytocin

This affects communication and how people feel about each other, showing genuine interest in others is a powerful skill.

Endorphins

These are released through physical exercise, getting the tasks you are avoiding done and humour, create the feel good factor!

The way in which we communicate with ourselves and others affects the chemicals that our brains release.
