The pyramid of trust

The "pyramid of trust" in communication is a conceptual framework that illustrates the different levels of trust that individuals may experience in their interactions with others.

It's often used to understand how trust is built and maintained over time. While there isn't a universally standardised pyramid of trust, the concept generally follows a hierarchical structure with increasing levels of trust as you move up the pyramid.

Your ability to move up the pyramid in your conversations with others is an indicator of the level of trust in the relationship and intentions.

If you want to really understand someone, start from the place I do not understand you. Make others feel safe and use probing and clarifying questions.

What does that mean?

This can be a very helpful game changing question. Especially if repeated with a tone of sincerity and a real genuine interest.
