Examples of customer needs

Author

What are examples of customer needs?

When it comes to customer service they need you to:

  1. Understand their needs
  2. Take ownership
  3. Use problem solving tactics (not problem creation)

Other examples include

Convenience:

Many customers prioritise convenience in their purchasing decisions. They seek products or services that save them time and effort, whether it's through easy accessibility, fast delivery, or streamlined processes. For example, a busy professional might value a grocery delivery service that allows them to order groceries online and have them delivered to their doorstep, saving them the time and hassle of going to the store.

Quality:

Customers often have a need for high-quality products or services that meet their expectations and standards. Quality can encompass various aspects, including durability, reliability, performance, and craftsmanship. For instance, a customer looking to buy a smartphone may prioritise a brand known for its quality construction, advanced features, and long-lasting battery life, as they want a device that will reliably meet their communication and productivity needs.

Personalisation:

In an increasingly personalised world, many customers expect products and services that are tailored to their individual preferences, interests, and needs. Personalisation can manifest in various forms, such as customised recommendations, personalised marketing messages, or personalised user experiences.

Value

Remember that value is subjective and different for different people. What does that mean is a question that will help you. Especially if used in varying ways, what does that mean to you? what does that mean to the process? what does that mean for your colleagues, for your business, for us?
